Resume bullet checker

Paste your bullet points, one per line. Each one gets a score and plain tips: start strong, show a result, cut the filler.

Scores and tips for each bullet show up here.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to HiroHunt or stored.

What makes a strong bullet

A strong bullet answers three questions in one line: what did you do, how, and what changed because of it. “Reduced invoice errors 30% by building a validation step into the billing flow” says all three. “Responsible for invoices” says none.

What the checker looks for

  • A strong opening. Verbs like led, built or cut beat “responsible for” and “helped with”.
  • A number. Money, percentages, time saved, team size, volume — anything that shows scale.
  • No I, my or we. Resumes are written without the first person.
  • No buzzwords. “Results-driven team player” tells a recruiter nothing; a result does.
  • Length. Roughly 10–30 words reads well on a skim.

No numbers to show?

Almost every job has something countable: how many customers, tickets, students, releases, suppliers or reports; how often; how fast compared with before. If an exact figure isn’t public, an honest range (“about 40 a week”) works. Never invent a number — you’ll be asked about it.

Questions

Does it work for every language?

Yes. The word lists (weak openers, buzzwords, strong verbs) follow the language of this page, so switch the page language if your resume is in another one.

Is a score of 100 required?

No. Treat the score as a nudge. A bullet with a clear action and a real result is good even if it’s a little long.

Is anything saved?

No. The check runs in your browser and nothing you paste leaves it.
